Pros and cons of Gas Guide: Anesthesia Quick Reference app for iPhone and iPad

Gas Guide: Anesthesia Quick Reference app good for

Great for a free app. Useful information for beginners or refresher for those in practice.
Great medical app. The information is concise enough to be useful on-the-go. The app is quick and without distracting extras. Exactly what a medical iPhone app should be like. Keep on uptating it! For the price, you cant go wrong!
Good basic info in a simple format that allows you find the info quickly. Best of all, its free. As a SRNA, I find this app to be useful & helpful. I had been searching for a simple app that had drug dosages, this has most principles, checklists, airway assessment and much more. If it had calculator functions, it would be a 5 star. But its free so Im not complaining!
Finally, a free anesthesia app. As an anesthesia professional that manages anesthesia and medical students, this guide is a blessing. All of the basics are covered. Being a skeptic with a ting of OCD, I was surprised to find no errors in drug doses. I found a single spelling error in the MH section, decided to email the developer, and received a very nice thank you email back within the hour. Comparing content with the Miller text, this guide seems very well thought out and compiled. The app is riddled with up-to-date content. The malignant hyperthermia section follows MHAUS protocols. The operative safety guides are all approved checklists including the ASA O.R. fire protocol. The cardiac clearance section follows the ACC/AHA protocols. The RSI protocol is great and the difficult airway algorithm matches DAS protocols. All of the peripheral nerve block content follows NYSORA. The BIS information follows ASAs preventing operative awareness. The vascular access content follows the NEJM clinical medicine videos. Its also comforting to know the developer is openly accepting feedback and continually making improvements. Bravo!
This is an excellent and accurate reference for both residents and experienced anesthesiologists. The info is updated regularly, and it is the best "gas" app I know
As a DO student interested in anesthesia and pain management, Ive been very very very pleased with the quick reference guides created by this team. Thank you!
